What exactly is included in my maintenance plan?
All plans cover regular software updates, security patches, weekly backups, uptime monitoring, and basic troubleshooting for issues that arise from standard updates. Major redesigns, new features, or structural changes are quoted separately—you’ll always approve any extra cost before work begins.
How quickly will you respond if something goes wrong?
We guarantee initial acknowledgment within your plan’s response time (e.g., 48 hours for Basic, 12 hours for Premium). That means a real person will confirm they’ve seen your issue. Resolution time depends on complexity, but critical problems (site down, broken checkout) are prioritized.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. All plans are month‑to‑month. You can cancel anytime with 30 days’ written notice. There are no early termination fees, and we’ll provide a full export of your site’s files and database upon cancellation.
What happens if an update breaks my site?
We take full responsibility. If a scheduled update causes your site to malfunction, we will fix it at no extra charge as part of the maintenance plan. Our process always includes testing updates on a staging environment first to minimize risks.
Can I hire other developers for custom work while on your plan?
Absolutely. You are never locked in. If another developer needs to make changes, just let us know beforehand so we can coordinate backups and avoid conflicts. You keep full control of your site.
What is your refund policy if I’m unhappy?
If you cancel within the first 14 days of any plan, we’ll refund your full payment – no questions asked. After that, unused full months are refunded on a pro‑rated basis. We want you to feel confident, never trapped.
Who owns my website content and data?
You do. 100%. We claim no ownership or intellectual property rights to your content, designs, or customer data. Our role is to keep your site secure and up‑to‑date – never to own or control it.
How do I report an emergency outside business hours?
Premium and Business plan clients get an emergency phone number and after‑hours Slack channel. Basic plan clients can email urgent@bitvatech.com, and we’ll respond within 4 hours (even on weekends).
